New Volunteer Training

The Code Blue Project a​nd the work of CSSH is considered an essential service. To learn more about becoming a CSSH Code Blue volunteer, visit our About Volunteering page.

VIRTUAL TRAINING 

To complete on-line training, see below (scroll to bottom of this page - box on left side) to complete all requirements (watch video) and to access the necessary paperwork to qualify as a CSSH shelter volunteer. If you are also willing to help by being a van driver, complete the Volunteer Shelter Training first, then the Volunteer Driver Training.
 

IN-PERSON TRAINING:  Click HERE to download our Volunteer Training Flyer, and please share/post it wherever potential volunteers may see it. 

Training is approximately 2 hours in length.  Driver training will be offered immediately following for those who are interested.
 

  • Sunday, November 3rd - 1:30 pm, St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Multipurpose Room, 301 N. Main St., Doylestown
     

  • Thursday, November 14th - 7:00 pm, Doylestown Borough Hall, Public Meeting Room, 10 Doyle St., Doylestown 
     

  • Saturday, November 23rd - 9:30 am, Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, Parish Life Center, 5194 Cold Spring Creamery Rd., Doylestown
     

  • Wednesday, January 22nd, 2025 - 6:30 pm, St. Cyril of Jerusalem Church, Parish Hall Bldg., 1410 Almshouse Rd., Jamison

Online Training

1.   View the 50 minute CSSH  Volunteer Shelter Training, this video has audio narration. 

2.  Complete your required paperwork and submit it to Megan at codeblue@co2ssh.org.

3. Create Volunteer Hub Account.

 

Sign Up for In-person Training

1. Create Volunteer Hub Account.

2.  Sign in to select the date and register for your in-person training. Your required paperwork will be provided at the training.

3. Contact Megan at codeblue@co2ssh.org if you need help or have questions.

 

 

Tra​nsportation Volunteers (Van Drivers)

1.  Driver training for new volunteers is ONLY for volunteers who have completed the  Volunteer Shelter Training.

3. Complete your required Annual Driver Certification and submit it to Megan at codeblue@co2ssh.org.

 

 Driver and Attendant Training

Driver & Attendant Training prepares individual members of the Volunteer Team to support the transportation of guests to and from the emergency shelter during the Code Blue season.

For assistance when the Code Blue shelter is closed, please call the Outreach Team at 866.390.0291 x703.
