MAE O'BRIEN

CSSH EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

Mae O'Brien joined CSSH as part-time  executive director on September 1, 2021.

For over 30 years, Mae O'Brien has worked in the nonprofit sector in fund development and executive roles for health-related, social service, and academic organizations. Most recently, she served as the Executive Director of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Bucks County and HealthLink, a free clinic serving the working poor in Bucks and Montgomery counties. In November 2016, The LaSalle Nonprofit Center placed Mae as the Interim Executive Director of A Woman's Place. A new Executive Director was identified and Mae transitioned out of the organization after a ten-month tenure. She also served as an Interim Executive Director for Woodford Cedar Run Wildlife Refuge until an executive director was appointed.

She is a Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE ret) and earned Lean 1 Certification. In her various roles, Mae has developed expertise in resource development (fundraising), planned large-scale system-changing initiatives, built sustainable comprehensive community collaborations, facilitated strategic planning processes for government agencies and various nonprofits, and conducted board development sessions for nonprofits and educational institutions. She was selected to be a member of the first class of Bryn Mawr College’s Nonprofit Executive Leadership Program (NELI).
